Castro Valley High School

Castor Valley, Saw your wall mural with a Ghandi quote and a Tupac Shakur quote and had to get on the net to figure out who Tupac was.      What do you think a conversation between Tupac and Gandi would sound like on the subject of  how we see "THE OTHER" ?  (Any old people like me who don’t know who Tupac is will have to google him)

Thanks Carl and Teresa

Bishop O’Dowd High School

Hope to hear from you.  Some possibilities never enter our mind until we take a stand and say "This is not right, I will not settle for this, will not settle for less".  Those options may never open up if we don’t stand uP. All the best, Carl

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life

It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.- Melody Beattie

yes, Multnomah students could put a thought or 2 down here about genocide, human rights, or "the other", or what we can do about it, or whatever else comes to mind.  Really enjoyed the conversations and commitment. Thanks, Carl
